Collection Representatives
CBE is hiring full-time Collection Representatives in both our corporate office in Waterloo, Iowa and in West Des Moines, Iowa. CBE Collection Representatives negotiate and collect on past due accounts by making telephone contacts and updating accounts in our computer system. You must have excellent communication skills, be highly motivated, and have a strong desire to succeed both personally and professionally.

Technical Services Support Specialist
The Information Technology Department has an immediate opening for a full-time Technical Services Support Specialist in our corporate office in Waterloo.
The chosen individual will be primarily responsible for providing front line help desk support to the internal user community as well as performing daily operations processing. Duties would include but would not be limited to: file processing, system monitoring, answering user questions, and troubleshooting problems related to computer hardware and software. An on-call rotation is a requirement of the job which includes early morning system checks from home s well as weekend file processing.
Requirements for this position include:
- BS/BA Degree in CIS, MIS, or Computer Science or equivalent education and experience
- One to three years of experience in IT
- Industry standard certifications a plus

Job Functions:
- Gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements
- Apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of information and technology system investments.
- Meet with decision makers, systems owners and end users to define business, financial and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues.

Requirements for this position include:

Report Writer
The Waterloo Office has an immediate opening for a full time Report Writer in our Information Technology Division.
Job Functions:
- Examine and evaluate reporting requirements for various business units across the organization.
- Use proven knowledge of specialized reporting tools to develop reporting structures as required.
- Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing report procedures and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
- Develop routines and procedures for end-uses to facilitate best practices use of reporting tools and applications.
- Communicate reporting changes, enhancements, and modifications - verbally or through written documentation - to management and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood.
- Work with application development staff to coordinate the creation and management of reporting structures.
- Advise department and line managers regarding appropriate, effective and efficient use of organizational reporting capabilities and functions.
- Liaise with various business groups in the organizations to facilitate implementation of new or improved reporting processes.
- Conduct research and make recommendations on reporting tools, services, protocols and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
Requirements for this position include:
- BA/BS in Business or IS related field and 2 years related work experience preferred.
- Proven experience with report writing and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development and data modeling.
- Proven experience with reporting tools, software and other applications, including SQL, Hyperion Brio and Crystal Reports.
- Considerable exposure to the operations and analysis of relational database software and standards, as well as data retrieval methodologies.
- Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs and flowcharts.
- Demonstrated project management skills and project management software skills.
System Analyst/Programmer
The Waterloo Office has an immediate opening for a full time System Analyst/Programmer in our Information Technology Division.
Job Functions:
- Work with internal and external customers to define requirements for new applications and software modifications
- Modify, maintain, and implement software on a legacy system (*DEC Basic on Open VMS)
- Assist in the development and implementation of new Web & Windows applications
- Conduct unit and system testing of software as member of the development team
- Provide support for existing programs including, but not limited to, debt recovery, medical billing & student loan applications
Requirements for this position include:
- BS/BA Degree in Computer Science, MIS or Mathematics, or equivalent education and experience
- Three to five years experience in programming
- Experience with operating systems, (DEC - Open VMS a plus)
- Experience in one or more of the following: .NET, CONNX, XML, C++, Visual Basic a plus
