Design Engineer: Designs and modifies ALMACO agricultural research equipment, collaborating with engineers, customers, sales, contract engineers and manufacturing personnel to design and build cost effective ALMACO products, sub-assemblies, options, and attachments that meet customer needs. Develops new designs and applications that define ALMACO as the market leader. Provides mechanical and agricultural engineering expertise to the continuous improvement of ALMACO products and services.
Manufacturing Project Engineer: Locates, develops, recommends and implements technologies that will support the ALMACO vision and future growth as directed by the Product and Process Development Manager. Aggressively reviews our manufacturing processes and recommends changes to increase safely, quality and productivity. Controls the development and implementation of new technologies and oversees the delegation to appropriate areas. Utilizes common continuous improvement tools to review and recommend changes that are needed.
Client Support Technician: This position would be responsible for providing a wide variety of technical support for ALMACO's agricultural research equipment which includes combines, planters and electronic data collection systems. This position would assist with designing, building and testing prototype equipment, servicing equipment at customer sites, conducting quality and pre-service work inspections and performing final assembly duties as assigned. In addition, they would provide technical expertise and interact with the engineering, marketing and manufacturing departments ans well as customers, to continuously improve ALMACO products and services.
Drafter: Prepares mechanical product drawings, electrical schematics, hydraulic schematic, instructions, material lists and operator manuals for use in building and operating ALMACO agricultural research equipment. Provides drafting support, BOM support, Decal creation and printing, CNC plasma tool paths and technical assistance to engineers and manufacturing personnel to continuously improve ALMACO products and services.
Welder Fabricator: This position would be responsible for constructing metal sub assemblies for ALMACO agricultural research equipment by setting up and performing bench welding and fabrication assignments safely, efficiently and according to product specifications. In addition, the Welder/Fabricator works independently, plans and lays out own work and completes assignments efficiently, safely and according to product quality standards, established procedures, and written or verbal instructions. This position also utilizes a wide variety of hand and power tools and related equipment such as saw, shear, grinder and small presses to reduce and prepare metals.
